Services for Willie Ruth Turner will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 2:00 PM at Williams and Lord Funeral Home.

Mrs. Turner, 94, of Leflore, MS, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 21, 2023.

Ruth was born on April 20, 1929 to Willie Lee Hardin and Cleo Knight Hardin in French Camp, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of Leflore Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, E.C. Turner; brothers, James Hardin and J.E. Hardin; sisters, Lorene Goss, Mary Alice Turner, Ila Mae Burton, and Fay Burchfield; grandson, Casey Ellis; son-in-law, Ronald Burgess.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Burgess of Leflore, MS, and Kay (Paul) Moorman of Rosebloom, MS; sons, Rev. Stanley (Nancy) Turner of Leflore, MS, Roger Turner of Leflore, MS, Ricky (Monika) Turner of New Llano, LA, and David Turner of Greenwood, MS; brother, Charlie Hardin of Stewart, MS; sisters, Ruby Goss of Ocean Springs, MS, Edna Johnson of Union, MS, and Pearl Patridge of Stewart, MS; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild on the way, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Stanley Turner will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Interment will follow in the Leflore Baptist Church cemetery.
