William James Ratliff Jr.
October 9, 1954 - February 11, 2017
Mr. Ratliff, age 62, died on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in Oxford of Hepatic Cirrhosis. A service will be held honoring his life on Saturday, February 18, 2017 11:00 AM at The Salvation Army in Greenwood, MS.
He was born on October 9, 1954 in Isola, MS, to the late William James Ratliff Sr. and Elizabeth Porter and lived in Mississippi and Tennessee for his entire life. He was a servant to his Lord Jesus Christ. Mr. Ratliff was a Corp Sergeant Major with the Salvation Army. He enjoyed working on cars and woodworking. Mr. Ratliff loved helping out others and will be dearly missed by all who loved him. He is preceded in death by his father, William James Ratliff Sr. and brothers, Walter Warren Ratliff, Billy Joe Ratliff, and Joe Lynn Ratliff.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Ratliff of Holcomb, MS; sons, Christopher Ratliff of Greenwood, MS, and James Adam Ratliff of Senatobia, MS; step daughters, Sarah Lynchard of Petal, MS, and Anna Smith of Charleston, MS; step son, Joshua Joyner of Seatle, WA; sisters, Mary Lee Hood of Holcomb, MS, and Debra Potts Ratliff of Winchester, TN, and 10 grandchildren.
