William Stanley
Mulvihill Jr.
Apr 13, 1981 — Dec 23, 2023
Carrollton
William Stanley "Stan" Mulvihill, Jr., 42, of Carrollton, MS, died Saturday, December 23, 2023 at University Medical Center in Grenada, MS. Services will be Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 1 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church in Carroll County with visitation 11:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Teoc Presbyterian Cemetery. Rev. Billy Little will officiate.
Stan was born April 13, 1981 in Greenwood, MS, to William Stanley Mulvihill and Brigette Shelton Little. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He was a commercial truck driver by trade. He won many awards for his exemplary truck driving skills. He also worked for MDOT for over eight years, and in his younger years worked for Service Auto Parts and Parker Wrecker Service, both in Greenwood. Stan was always driving and hauling something. He enjoyed being on the road, but later began to miss his family and started working for United Portables, where it turned into a family thing with his wife Britny often being his hauling partner.
Stan was also an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt squirrels, ducks, deer, and even frogs, but he was most passionate about fishing. He used to say "the best time to go fishing is when it's raining and when it ain't." He took pride in his fishing luck also, he hardly ever came home without having caught a fish and his luck was almost as good when he went hunting. Every fishing buddy and every hunting buddy has a story about Stan, and if you wanted to hear those stories directly from Stan you better have a few minutes and pull up a chair. He liked to talk about hunting and fishing almost as much as he liked doing it. He loved watching his boys reel in a fish and watching their eyes get big seeing a deer come out in the hunting blind. His best friend/brother Brent was one of his all time favorite hunting & fishing buddies.
Stan was also a sports fan, he knew everything about College baseball and football. He knew about the players and the coaches, especially when it came to Mississippi State Bulldogs. So, again pull up another chair because if you had a question, he knew the answer.
However, family in general was his favorite past time, he and his wife Britny were inseparable, and there was no place like home to Stan. When he was surrounded by his wife and kids, that was his real happy place.
He was preceded in death by his son, Easton Tyler Wiggins, and grandparents, Carl Shelton and Mr. & Mrs. William Clinton Mulvihill.
He is survived by his parents, William Stanley Mulvihill, Sr. (Margaret) and Brigette Shelton Little (Trent); his wife, Britny Ann Wiggins Mulvihill of Carrollton; three children, William Kaleb Mulvihill, Jaxson Lane Mulvihill, and Leyton Cole Mulvihill, all of Carrollton; brother, Michael Brent Mulvihill (Lani) of Carrollton; sister, Mallory Dawn Mulvihill (fiancé Mason Gettys) of Little Rock; step-son, Leland Todd Manseill of Holcomb; step brother, Tyler Reeser (Kacey) of Greenwood; maternal grandmother, Ruby Walls Shelton of Carrollton; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Germany, Brandon Hardy, Tyler Hardy, Dalton Murphy, Brent Mulvihill, and Tyler Murphy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Shelton, Allan Wyatt, and Trent Little.
Williams and Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
