William Franklin Horton, 73, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 in Greenville, MS. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville, MS.

Mr. Horton was born on November 9, 1949 in Boyle, MS, to the late Roy and Oma Horton. Mr. Horton farmed most of his life and enjoyed being on the farm. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a love for antique auctions and going to the dirt track races. He loved his kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren more than life itself. His grandchildren would do anything to get out of school in order to be with their grandfather in his truck riding around with him. Mr. Horton is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Ruth Price, Faye Free, Ruby Bennett, Frances Horton, Judy Young, Theresa Clark, and Charlotte Tinnon, and brothers, James Horton and Lee Roy Horton.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Horton of Cleveland, MS; son, William C. Horton (Rebecca) of Boyle, MS; daughter, Sherry Brown of Cleveland, MS; sister, Brenda Lessley; grandchildren, Candi Fisk (James) of Boyle, MS, Christy Horton (Johnny) of Cleveland, MS, Erica Brown of Cleveland MS, Bubba Brown of Cleveland, MS, Haley Horton (David) of Cleveland, MS, and Tyler Horton of Boyle, MS; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
