William Clarence "W.C." Erwin , 80, of Greenwood, MS, died Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home with visitation 12 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Odd Fellows East Cemetery. Rev. Tom Bingham will officiate.

He was born March 27, 1943 in Winona, MS, to Aubrey R. Erwin and Ila Lee Putman Erwin. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and was a retired river boat captain. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Marie Erwin; brother, Lamar Erwin; sister, Mary Lee Vaughn; half-brothers, Thomas Mosley, Jerry Brown, and Lamar Erwin; and his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Broach of Greenwood, MS; sister, Bernice Collins of Tupelo, MS; half-sister, Brenda Dinsmore of Atlanta, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Collins, Barry Collins, Steve Kent, Tyler Kent, Benjamin Collins, and Tim Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Lewis Tackett and Joe Florence.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
