William "Bill" Alf Bennett, 60, of Greenwood, MS, died Friday, November 21, 2025, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. There will be a private family service at a later date that has not been determined.

Bill was born December 18, 1964, in Winona, MS, to Alfred Burnett Bennett and Connie Mae Meeks Bennett of Carrollton, MS.  He was also known as "Scooter" when he was growing up in Carrollton. He was active in Tae Kwon Do when he was younger. He worked as a life insurance salesman most of his life and in retirement, he enjoyed cooking, reading and studying astronomy. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Carpenter Bennett of Greenwood, MS; son, William Conner Bennett of Oxford, MS; stepson, Owen Hambrick of Greenwood, MS; brother, Don Morefield of Brandon, MS; and sister, Connie Morefield Wilson of Brandon, MS.  He was also survived by a nephew, Benjamin Box of Brandon, MS; and a niece, Taryn Reid, and great nephews, Lennon Morefield and Luke Reid, all of Charlotte, North Carolina.
