Mrs. Hughes, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Golden Age Nursing Home.
She was born on November 17, 1938 to the late Henry and Kathleen Smith Tate in Lexington, MS, and resided in Greenwood the past 20 years. Mrs. Hughes was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of Roundaway Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lee Hughes.
She is survived by her daughter, Leigha (Darron) Watson of Avalon, MS; two sisters, Janie Delores (Mason) Wheeler of Brookings, SD, and Patsy (Jack) Rowe of Indianola, MS.
