Services for Tommie Simpson Morris will be held Wednesday June 01, 2016 10:00 AM at Friendship West Baptist Church in Friendship, MS.
Mrs. Morris, age 82 died on Saturday May 28, 2016, at her residence in Drew, MS
She was born on November 01,1933 in Friendship, MS to the late Morris and Annie Higginbottom Simpson and lived in Drew, Mississippi. She was a retired seamstress. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Homer David Morris Jr., and son, Stephen Morris.
She is survived by two sons, David (Jackie) Morris of Drew, MS, Jimmy (Teresa) Morris of Drew, MS, two daughters, Verena Glynn (Mack) Jones of Atlanta, GA, and Patty (Guy) Legg of Parchman, MS, eight grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 31, 2016 6 PM to 8 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville. Rev. Joe Young will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Chris Morris, Michael Morris, Chuck Morris, David Carpenter, David Wagner, Art Wolfe, George Beeler and Joel Morris. Burial will follow in Drew Cemetery.
