Thyra Butler Green, 82, of Coila, MS, died Friday, July 26, 2019 at her residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Coila, with visitation 10 a.m. until service time in the church. Rev. Larry Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Green was born November 16, 1936 in Jackson, MS, to Roy Butler and Oneida Jackson Butler. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and lived in the Black Hawk area for over 40 years. She was retired from the State of Mississippi as a rehabilitation services supervisor. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Skeets Elliott and Rev. Joe Green.

She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Watts Daves and husband Bubba of Coila, MS; sons, Billy Ray Reeves and wife Phyllis of Pearl River, LA, and Richard Watts of Flowood, MS; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Shelby Daves, Jordan Daves, Cliff Daves, Chris Reeves, Jonathan Watts, and Will Watts.
