Obituary

Thomas Ladale Minyard was born on September 5, 1958 in Greenwood, Mississippi. He passed away on May 3, 2020 at age 61. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Moore's Memorial Cemetery in Carroll County.

Tom attended college at Mississippi State University where he graduated with his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Later, he returned to school and earned his master's in Structural Engineering. He continued to support his Alma Mater, avidly attending football and baseball games. He even bought a vacation home in Starkville so that he could enjoy MSU every weekend.

In 1982, Tom married Pam Lucroy. They adored their three children, Mitchell, Anna Kate, and Mark.

Tom enjoyed a successful career as an engineer, working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers designing systems of locks and dams on the Mississippi River to manage flooding. He retired in 2014, but couldn't stay away for long and went back to work with the Army Corps of Engineers in 2016.

Tom was an active member of his church, Grace Bible, and he served there as a deacon.

Tom is survived by his wife, Pam Minyard of Starkville, MS; children, Mitchell Minyard (wife Tiffany) of Nixa, MO, Anna Kate Poole (husband Matt) of Jackson, MS, and Mark Minyard (wife Kara) of Memphis, TN; sister, Sharron Alderman ( husband Steve) of Agricola, MS; and grandchildren, Marshall Minyard, Elliot Minyard, and Winry Minyard.
