Services for Stanley Lamar Ashmore will be held Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.
Mr. Ashmore, age 59 died on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at residence of heart failure.
He was born on February 1, 1957 in Greenwood, MS to the late Stanley and Corrine Green Ashmore and lived in the Greenwood area for his entire life. Mr. Ashmore was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Money, MS. He was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to take pictures and really enjoyed life and all it entailed. Mr. Ashmore loved his son very much. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sara Smith of Money, MS and his son, Timothy Lamar Ashmore of Ripley, MS.
Visitation will be held on Thursday December 22, 2016 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Lynn Welch will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be, Lee Smith, Fred Smith, Mike Turner, William Carpenter, Tommy Young, Dodd Turner, Bob Cook, Delmar Turney, and Kenneth Melton.
A private internment service will be held at a later date. All memorials on behalf of Mr. Ashmore may be made to Riverside Baptist Church in Money, MS. Williams and Lord of Greenwood is in charge. An online guestbook may be signed at www.williamsandlord.com.
