Graveside services for Sonia Gay Lindsey will be held Monday, March 2, 2020 2:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton, MS.

Mrs. Lindsey, age 55, died on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

She was born on January 13, 1965 in Corbin, Kentucky, to Kenneth Storms and Cheryl Ann Thompson. She is preceded in death by her mother, Cheryl Thompson of Kentucky. Sonia was a talented singer who loved to garden, fish and enjoy God's beautiful creation. We can only imagine the beautiful garden she saw when she opened her eyes in heaven, and we know the songs of the angels became sweeter as soon as her voice was added.

She is survived by husband, Leonard "Pete" Lindsey of Greenwood, MS, daughters, Amanda (Clint) Hawthorne of Midlothian, TX, Ashley (Mike) Dougherty and Jordon (Dustin) White, both of Waxahachie, TX, step daughters, Ashley Nicole Lindsey of Somerset, KY, and Courtney Claire Rose Thacker of Midland, TX, sisters, Tonia (Marty) Williams, Angle Asper, Rhonda Young and Tammy Partin, grandchildren, Caden and Addison Hawthorne, Reagan, Liam, Caleb, and Emma Dougherty, and Preston and Harper White.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Dennis McKay will officiate the service.
