Sidney Hill Peacock, Jr., 71, of Greenwood, MS, died Monday, April 21, 2025 at his residence. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Sidney was born January 17, 1954 in Lexington, MS, to the late Sidney Hill Peacock, Sr. and Estelle Lee Peacock. He retired from Leflore County after 42 years of service. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing, and collecting antique tractors. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Debbie Dorrough.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Laura Peacock of Greenwood, MS; sons, Brandon Hill of Minter City, MS, and Adrian Mabus (Jessica) Peacock of Minter City, MS; daughters, Melinda (Shannon) Acey of Greenwood, MS, and Ashley Sanderock of Sallis, MS;  grandchildren, Tanner Peacock, Dylan (Marisa) Peacock, Coty Sanderock, Zoe (Allen) Harrell, Jordan Harris, Justin Peacock, Savannah Pernell, and Bella Peacock; and great grandchildren, Olivia Kay Peacock, Mila Peacock, Allie Brooks-Lee Harrell.
