Services for Sherry Anita Carter Corley will be held Friday, November 15,2024 2:00 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville, MS.

Mrs. Corley, age 70, died on Tuesday, November 12,2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

She was born on December 7,1953 in Cleveland, MS, to the late Rayford Grady and Arlene Free Carter and lived in Drew. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Corley Sr. She taught math for twenty six years before retiring from the Sunflower School System. Sherry enjoyed gardening, flowers, bream fishing, sewing, crocheting, and her biggest joy was doing for others.

She is survived by her two daughters, Diana (Thomas) Baxley of Teasedale, MS, and Robin (Victor) Henson of Sardis, MS, sisters, Angela Darlene Carter of Clarksdale, MS, and Thelisa Gail Vaughan of Grand Bay, AL, brother, Michael DeWayne Carter of Udall, KS, grandchildren, Dakota Floyd Welch, Carter Lee Hembree, and Shands Christian Henson, and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15,2024 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Paul Koonce will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Paul Chandler, Benny Chandler, John Chandler, Lewis Chandler, Robert Chandler, and James Hyer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Vaughan and Dakota Welch. Burial will be in Lehrton Cemetery.
