Sharon Scholes Bowie, 68, of Grenada, MS, formerly of Greenwood, died Friday, December 15, 2023 at her residence.

Sharon was born December 3, 1955 in Houston, TX, to the late Robert Floyd Scholes and Margaret Dobbins Scholes. She lived in Greenwood most of her life before moving to Grenada. She attended The Cowboy Church in Coffeeville, MS. She worked many years at Greenwood Leflore Hospital before retiring from UMMC in Grenada as a respiratory therapist. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian Keith Sumrall; brother, Mark "Bear" Scholes; and sister, Sandra Daves Richardson.

She is survived by her son, Cheyenne Bowie (Misty) of Kosciusko, MS; significant other, John "Winky" Willis of Grenada, MS; brother, Clay Scholes of Princeton, LA; grandchildren, Carson Bowie of Grenada, MS, Taylor Musselwhite of Kosciusko, MS, and Marlee Musselwhite of Kosciusko, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 9:30 AM till 11:00 AM at Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM December 21, 2023 in Odd Fellows Cemetery with the Rev. Calvin Collins officiating.
