Sean Lee Wheat "Tat"
Funeral Services for Sean Lee "Tat" Wheat will be held on Monday September 28, 2015 at 12:30pm Graveside in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Wheat was born June 03, 1968 Montgomery, Alabama. He passed Wednesday September 23, 2015. Sean graduated from West Jones High School in Laurel, MS in 1986, then moved to Greenwood where he worked for J.J. Ferguson before joining The United States Navy. He proudly served his country as a Hull Tech 3 on the U.S.S Scott Naval Ship stationed in Norfolk, Virginia from 1987 through 1990. He worked as a welder for Howse Implement of Laurel, MS before moving to Greenwood and married his wife Kerry on February 15, 1992. Sean was an employee of Greenwood Utilities for the past 23 years. He accepted Jesus of his Lord and Savior in 1997. Survivors include his wife Kerry Browning Wheat of 23 years, Two daughters Kassi Browning, 25, and Brandi Wheat, 22, One Son Sean Michael Wheat,15, One Grandchild, Charley Grayce, 4, One son-in-law Lake McNeer, 22, all of Greenwood. His mother Lynora wheat and step-father Billy Wheat, of Caledonia, MS., Mother-in-law, Betty Miller Browning, Three sisters; Cheryl Morton, of Millbrook, AL, Angela Fields Smith and husband Willie Smith of Caledonia, MS, and Marcie Ledbetter of Montgomery AL. Brother-in-law Michael Browning and his wife Marjorie Browning, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Proceeded in death by; Father Maurice Wayne Bowden of Sylacauga, AL. Father- in- law Cecil Wayne Browning of Greenwood , MS, Maternal Grandparents Cecil and Reva Varner of Prattville AL, One brother-in-law Adam Purnell Morton Sr., of Millbrook AL.
Pallbearer will be Walter "Stump" Shaw, Michael "Mater" Manor, Marvin "Killer" Miller, Brice "Scooter" Fulgham, Wade "Pumkin" Johnson, Daniel "Boone" Vest.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Sean Michael Wheat, Greenwood Utilities co-workers, Ben Feigler, and 1987 through 1990 U.S.S. Scott Sailors
The Rev. Dennis McKay will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00Am till 12:00Pm Monday September 28, 2015 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home
