Services for Sadie Meeks will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Lighthouse Ministries Church in Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. Meeks, age 76, died on Wednesday, September 06, 2017 at her residence. She was born on February 1, 1941 in Carroll County, to the late Charles Williams and Plessie Cambell and lived in Schlater, MS. She was a non-demonational and was a member of Lighthouse Ministries Pentecostal Church of God. She enjoyed missionary work with the MS Baptist Association. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Jay Bird Whatley, Henry L. Branum Sr., and Wilburn Meeks; one child, Rachel Whatley; and two sisters, Francis Long and Ethel Corder.

She is survived by one daughter, Debrah Kell of Schlater, MS; two sons, Kenneth Whatley, and Henry Branum of Greenwood, MS; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Lighthouse Ministries Pentecostal Church of God in Greenwood. Rev. Larry Shackleford and Rev. Joseph Sansing will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Joey Smith, Richard Corder, Billy Corder, Michael Davis Jr., Doug Shields, and David Whatley. Honorary Pallbearer will be Wayne Carpenter. Burial will be in McNutt Cemetery following the services.
