Services for Ruby Ella Rainey McDonald will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 2:00 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. McDonald, age 81, died on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Golden Age Nursing Home.

Ruby was born on April 18, 1937 in Dora, AL, to the late Hubert and Ollie Golden Rainey and resided in the Carrollton area most of her life. She retired from Hickok Electronics after 28 years of service. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Grover McDonald, Sr.; son, Grover McDonald, Jr.; and a grandson, Shannon Zimmerman.

She is survived by her daughter, Mamie Zimmerman of Carrollton, MS; son, Robert McDonald of Carrollton, MS; step daughter, Karen Ackerman of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Louise Goss of Dora, AL; brother, Johnny Rainey of Dora, AL; six grandchildren, Katie McDonald, Krystle Walker, Shanda Powell, Kevin McDonald, Beth Tresca, and Ashley Yoder, and ten great grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Rev Gary Tanner will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Terry Brown, Ricky Pugh, Edward Thompson, Jeremy Graves, Corbin Walker, and Carl Wiggins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Greg Walker and Gage Walker. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery.
