Roland Dee Albritton, Sr., 71, of West Monroe, LA, passed away into eternal life on Friday, November 26, 2021 at his residence.

Roland was born on December 30, 1949, in Greenwood, MS, to the late Edwin Dewitt "Buddy" Albritton and Almeda Josephine Whatley Albritton. At the age of eighteen, he chose to enlist in the Marine Corp and later married the love of his life, Carolyn Harris, in 1970. Roland loved fishing, his family and was a friend to all. He enjoyed cracking jokes and making those around him laugh. His easy demeanor and personality will be missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Harris Albritton; his sister, Lila Albritton Lovell; brother, Milton Albritton; half-brother, Billy Joe Albritton; and baby brother, David Allen Albritton.

Roland is survived by his two sons, Roland Ray Albritton and wife, Jeannie of West Monroe, LA, and Roland Dee Albritton, Jr. of West Monroe, LA; brother, Dewitt Albritton and wife, Susan of West Monroe, LA ; sister, Glinda Albritton Overstreet and longtime friend, Jill Ussery of West Monroe, LA; four grandchildren, Matthew Albritton, Eirin Albritton,  Morgan Jalaldin, and Alec Jalaldin; three great grandchildren with a fourth on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews as well as extended family.

Graveside services will be held in Odd Fellows East Cemetery on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Collin Montgomery officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Tuesday at Williams and Lord Funeral Home.
