Richard Allen Turner, 72, of Greenwood, MS, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Services will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Eskridge Cemetery in Montgomery County. Rev. Rob Garland will officiate.

Mr. Turner was born October 28, 1949 in Greenwood, MS, to Richard Turner and Cleo Cates Turner. He attended Bible Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman, and he was a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his sons, John Allen Turner and his wife Chance of Big Creek, MS, and Thomas Brandon Turner of Greenwood, MS; daughter, Dorothy Michelle Turner of Greenwood, MS; mother, Cleo Cates Turner of Greenwood, MS; wife, Della Turner of Batesville, MS; brother, Freddy Turner of Horn Lake, MS, sisters, Sherry Vaughn of Madison, MS, and Jean Carpenter of Greenwood, MS; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and one on the way.

Pallbearers will be Chris Cassidy, Jr., Danny Westerfield, Nathaniel Miller, Gene Downs, Chris Vaughn, Jonathan Vaughn, and Andy Red. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Moore and Michael Carlin.
