Services for Raymond Karl "Skippy" Moore will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 2:00 PM at North Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood, MS.

Mr. Moore, age 65, died on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on August 1, 1956 in Savannah, GA, to the late Raymond Karl Moore, Sr. and Mary Logan Moore, and lived in Carrollton, MS. Raymond is preceded in death by his brothers, James Carl Britt and Kenneth Britt, and sisters, Carolyn Kimble and Sherry Britt. Ray resided in West Point, MS, and had been in Greenwood, MS, since 1996. He was a member of the West Point Sheriff and Police Departments for 14 years and served on the Greenwood Police Force from 1996 till 2020. Ray served as Chief for six years before his retirement. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping and was a member of Valley Hill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jackie Johnson Moore of Carrollton, MS; three sons, Delbert Johnson of Ferriday, LA, Jason Moore of Mt. Home, AR, and Dustin Moore of FL; daughters, Lorinda Armstrong of Fort Worth, TX, and Amanda Moore of FL; brother, Richard Moore of West Point, MS; sister, Tracy Felter of Ferriday, LA; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at North Greenwood Baptist Church.  Rev. Jim Kelly will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Jason Floyd Moore, Jeffrey Lee, Dewayne Tucker, David Furrell  Edens, Bobby Johnson, Dudley Pleasants, Sidney Irby and Ken Spencer. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Greenwood Police Dept. and Leflore County Sheriff's Dept. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Carroll County.
