Peggy Ann Ware, 73, of Ruleville, MS passed away peacefully on September 10,2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on September 11,1948 to the late Fred and Ella Ware.
Peggy grew up and lived in Ruleville all of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and always had a smile on her face. Peggy was 24 months old when she was diagnosed with Polio but that didn't stop her from living life to the fullest with the help of her brothers and sisters, especially her sister, Penny, who cared for her daily. You never saw Peggy without Penny by her side. Even though Peggy faced many hardships throughout her life, she always kept a positive attitude and had a vibrant uplifting spirit. Peggy filled many roles in the lives of her loved ones. She tutored her nieces and nephews, enjoyed watching them at the swimming pool, and could be found supporting and cheering them on at the ball field. Peggy taught Sunday school in her younger years and had a great love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Church of God in Cleveland, MS.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ella Ware, a brother, Fredrick Ware, and a great nephew, Little Fred Ware.
She is survived by her siblings, Jerry Ware of Ruleville, MS, Robert (Karen) Ware of Ruleville, MS, Dixie Ware Newsome (William) of Leland, MS, and Penny Ware Moore of Ruleville, MS. She had a host of nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews that she adored and loved dearly. She also had a childhood friend, Katie Guthrie of Campbell, TX.
The family visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13,2022 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. The visitation for friends will be at 1:00pm followed by the celebration of life beginning at 2:00pm at Church of God in Cleveland, MS. The graveside service will be immediately following at Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS.
Pallbearers will be Freddy Ware, Jeremy Ware, Bryce Ware, Luke Swain, Jason Free, and Chris Brassfield.
The officiating of services will be Pastor Greg Chamblee and Pastor Joel Hammons.
Williams and Lord Funeral Home Ruleville is in charge of funeral arrangements.
The funeral will be live streamed on the Cleveland Church of God Facebook account.
