Services for Patsy Nell Malier Mitchell will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 12:00 PM at Walton Chapel Church of God in Minter City, MS.

Ms. Mitchell, age 70, died on Sunday, May 05, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

She was born on August 28, 1948 in Greenwood, MS, to William Lonal and Lillian Maxine Walker Malier and lived in Minter City, MS. Patsy is preceded in death by her father, William Lonal Malier, and sister Nancy Ann Malier.

She was a school teacher in the public school system, basketball coach at Sunnyside Elementary School in Minter City, and was a member of Walton Chapel Church of God, where she served as youth director for many years and taught Sunday school. Patsy started Maranatha Christian Academy and worked there till her recent illness.

She is survived by her daughters, Kara (Andy) White of Holcomb, MS, and Angela (Jackie) Sims Jr. of Greenwood, MS; son, Chris Mitchell of Grenada, MS; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church Rev. Lamar Davis, Rev. Linnie Maples, and Rev. Chris Owensby will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Jack Kyle, Joel Kyle, Stacy Walker, Jerry Randall, Chris Mitchell, Andy White, and Jackie Sims Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Walker and Mac Steed. Burial will follow in Lehrton Cemetery.
