Nora Love McCorkle

Services for Nora Love McCorkle will be held Sunday, December 20, 2020 11:00 AM graveside in Lehrton Cemetery with Rev. Sara Miller officiating.

Mrs. McCorkle, age 100, died on Friday, December 18, 2020 at her residence in Ruleville.

She was born on September 22, 1920 to the late John Ellis and Martha Fowler Love in Webster County and resided in Ruleville since 1940. She was a homemaker and a member of Ruleville First United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother and wife. She loved to garden, quilt, read, cook, and she made all of her children's clothing. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph "Joe" Elkins McCorkle, Sr.; son, Joseph Elkins McCorkle, Jr.; and a grandson, Joe Paul McCorkle.

She is survived by her four daughters, Myra (I D) Denton of Ruleville, MS, Martha Ruth of White House, TN, Willie Fisackerly of Nesbit, MS, and Lanora (Mark) Livingston of Nesbit, MS; son, James (Linda) McCorkle of Nashville, TN; daughter-in-law, Dorothy McCorkle of Louisville, MS; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
