Nellie Mims Woolard, 86, of Greenwood, MS, died Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, MS. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Malmaison Baptist Church Cemetery, with visitation 1 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home.  Rev. Lee Sudduth will officiate.

Mrs. Woolard was born August 19, 1936 in Carroll County, MS, to Arthur Mims, Sr. and Charlie Mae Goss Mims. She was a graduate of J.Z. George High School and lived in Washington, North Carolina, from 1972 to 2012 when she moved to Greenwood. She worked for Fincher Hardware and was retired from Belk department store after 24 years of service. She was a member of West President Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Woolard; sisters, Betty Blake and Sadie Mims; and her parents.

She is survived by her brother, Arthur Mims, Jr. of Carrollton, MS; sister, Mary Kimble of Greenwood, MS; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Calvin Hunt, J.R. Hunt, Luke Quinn, David Franklin, Kevin Kimble, and Lee Sudduth.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
