Monroe Noah
Little
Aug 26, 1973 — Sep 18, 2025
Winona
Monroe Little was more than a brother, son, and father—he was a quiet constant in the lives of those who knew him. Born on August 26, 1973, in Greenwood, Mississippi, Monroe carried the soul of the Delta in his heart: steady, strong, and deeply rooted in family. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will be held in Centerville Cemetery in Carroll County.
He faced life with quiet resilience, weathering storms that would have broken lesser spirits. Through loss and hardship, Monroe remained a man who never asked for much, but always gave what he could—his presence, his loyalty, and his love.
Though his journey ended on September 18, 2025, at Winona Manor in Winona, Mississippi, from pneumonia complications due to lung cancer, Monroe's story lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. He leaves behind his loving son, Austin Little; his devoted mother, Linda Dianne Little; and his siblings, Richard Little, Tina Page (Mark) and Obie Little (Jennifer). He was an uncle to Keith Little and Ryan Page (Amanda), Tiffanie Gillan (Steve), Terah Little, Amie Steinmetz, Marranda Rosser (Austin), Richard Keegan Little, Paislei Little, Ember Little, Brandon Little, and Cameron Little; and several friends and extended family - each of whom carries his memory with grace and strength.
Monroe was preceded in death by his beloved sons, Matthew and Daniel; his father, O.D. Little; and his sisters, Melissa Steinmetz and Teresa Ann Little. The reunion in Heaven must have been a tender one—filled with the love that never faded, even in absence.
To know Monroe was to know a man who bore his burdens quietly, who loved deeply, and who never let go of the people who mattered most. His life was a testament to endurance, and his memory is a gift we will carry forward.
Rest well, Monroe. You are deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
With deep gratitude, a special thanks to his cousins, Melinda Acy and Thomas Carroll, his Uncle Roy, and our dear friends, Tom Stevenson, Jamie Huffman, and Theresa Blanton, each of whom has been a steadfast presence through the years. Their unwavering support, quiet strength, and enduring love have meant more to this family than words can express. In moments of joy and sorrow alike, they have stood beside us, reminding us what it means to belong, to be held, and to be truly seen. Your kindness has been a light in our lives, and we are forever grateful.
