Services for Mildred Lucille Tharp Stone of Drew, MS, will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016 2:00 PM at graveside in Rome Tharp Cemetery in Rome, MS.

Mrs. Stone, age 89, died on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, MS.

She was born on December 8, 1926 in Sunflower, MS, to the late Robert Earnest and Leona Upchurch Tharp and lived in Drew, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie Clinton Stone; son, Raymond Earl Stone; daughter, Brenda McCullough; two brothers, Harold Tharp and Robert Earl Tharp; great grandchild baby Cates, and two great grandsons, William Alexzander Hall and David Peeples.

She is survived by one son, Charles Ray Stone of Jackson, MS; three daughters, Ruby (Larry) Mullins of Cleveland, MS, Mary Ann (Danny) Ransom of Charleston, MS, Becky (Johnny) Sheedy of Cleveland, MS; one brother, Doyle E. Tharp of Sumner, MS; two sisters, Mary Alice Steed of Drew, MS, and Janie Kelly of Byron, GA; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville. Rev. Robert Haney will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will be in Rome Tharp Cemetery.
