Michael "Mike" Lee Bruce

Services for Michael "Mike" Lee Bruce will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 2:00 PM at Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mr. Bruce, age 68, died on Sunday, January 8, 2023 in Coila, MS.

He was born on January 25, 1954 in Greenville, MS, to the late Brownlee Bruce, Jr and Ina Faye Fancher Bruce. He graduated from J.Z. George High School and lived most of his life in Carroll County, MS. He was retired from Montgomery County as a road manager and also worked a number of years for Leflore County as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Black Hawk. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Ricky Bruce, Brownlee "Buster" Bruce, and Kenny Bruce.

He is survived by his daughter, Tonya Bruce (Joe) McClure, of Coila, MS; two grandchildren, Blair McKay of Sturgis, MS, and Natalie Outlaw of Black Hawk, MS; four great-grandchildren Jon Barrett McKay, Cullen Bruce McKay, Landon Jones, and Raylan Jones; longtime companion, Pat Montgomery Bruce; and special friend, Joy Wilkerson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. George Mims will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Bart Jackson, Whitney Curole, Chad Smith, Cade Wilkerson, Jeff Reeves, Jamey Mims, Chris Boone, and Jonathan McKay. Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Overly, Girt Smith, Bill Fancher, Richie Wiltshire, Kenny Gardner, Danny Leigh, Matthew Streater, Dale Ray, Jon Barrett, McKay, Mark Boone, Lynn GoMiller, Red Bowlin, Todd Fincher, Brandon Vickers, Jimmy Bennett, Mark Peoples, Todd Fancher, and Chuck Morgan. Burial will be in Black Hawk Baptist Church Cemetery.
