Mary Katherine "Sissy" Nichols, 73, went home to with the Lord on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in Greenwood, MS.

She was born on April 27, 1949 to the late Jim and Francis Myers. Mrs. Sissy loved the Lord. She stood firm in her faith even though she was faced with many challenges throughout her life. She was a longtime member of Blackhawk Baptist Church. Her greatest passion was babysitting. She was NaNa to many and enjoyed watching children for over 41 years. Mrs. Sissy was an amazing cook. Her cornbread, cookies, and homemade biscuits were a family favorite. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, NaNa, and will be missed dearly. Along with her parents, Mrs. Sissy was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Nichols; son, John Jason Nichols; grandson, Dawson Mims; niece, Angela Myers; nephew, Chris Myers, and a brother, Clayton Myers.

She leaves behind a son, Jeffery Nichols (Lesa); three brothers, Eddie Myers, Bobby Myers, Tommy Myers (Judy); and sister in law, Sue Myers. Mrs. Sissy also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 23, 2022 at Williams and Lord Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Tanner officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM Friday, December 23, 2022 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Nichols, Daniel Nichols, Kyle Nichols, Jerry Holloway, Micheal Myers, and Roy Myers. Burial will follow in Blackhawk Baptist Cemetery.
