Mrs. Mary Ellen Johnson passed away Saturday November 21, 2015 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital of heart failure. She was born in Neshoba County on May 14, 1941 to the late Douglas and Maud Lee Wilkinson Johnson. She lived most of her life in the Greenwood area and worked as a sitter and caretaker until her retirement. She had been a resident of Golden Age Nursing Home the past six months and was an active member of The Lighthouse Ministries Church of God in Greenwood. She is survived by two sons, Walter Wetzbarger of Carrollton, MS and Troy Gregg of Arkansas, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A graveside service for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday November 24, 2015 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. A visitation will be held the day of from 11:00am to 1:30pm at Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS. Rev. Donnie Gregg will assist Rev. Larry Shackleford in the services. Pallbearers will be Christopher Wetzbarger, John Sanders, Thomas Johnson, Dale Johnson, Jerry McPherson, and Donnie Gregg. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Johnson, Patrick Yeoman, Richard Johnson, and Jimmy Johnson.
