Mary Boyles Chriswell Smith Gilbert, of Greenwood died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Rev. Eddie Carpenter will officiate at the services. Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gilbert retired from C & J Services in Greenwood in December 2015 as a receptionist. She was preceded in death by her husband's M.V. Smith, Jr. and Robert Gilbert and her son Jerry H. Chriswell. She was of Baptist faith and was a caring person who attended to the needs of her relatives.
She is survived by her son Stephen W. Chriswell of Greenwood, granddaughter Laura Owens of Conyers, GA, daughter-in-law Norma Chriswell of Leesville,LA, two great-grandchildren Sara Owens and Brent Wilson. She is also survived by her caregiver Murray Weeks of Greenwood, MS.
Pallbearers will be John Gilbert, Murray Weeks, Johnny Gilbert, Tim Jones, Claude Jones and Julian Campbell.
