Services for Mary Sue Beckwith will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 11:00 AM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. Beckwith, age 68, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 surrounded by her family at her residence.

She was born on April 22, 1954 in Winona, MS, to the late Robert Earl and Velma Ligon Scruggs.  She graduated from Carroll Academy and worked for over 30 years at CB&S Bank in Greenwood. She was an avid gardener and was a member of North Carrollton Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Bobby Scruggs.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jesse Beckwith, Jr of Carrollton, MS; daughter, Tracy (James) Arnold of Vaiden, MS; sister, Jo Carwile of Winona, MS; and a granddaughter, Lilly James Arnold of Vaiden, MS.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Bobby Hill, Buck Hill, John Elliott, John Walker, Jim Nester, and Bill McDaniel. Honorary Pallbearer will be Ken Bennett. Burial will be in New Jerusalem Cemetery.
