Marvin Acy, 78, of Coila, MS, died Saturday, December 31, 2016 at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with visitation 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Coila. Rev. Dennis Sullivan and Rev. Larry Edwards will officiate. Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Acy was born January 29, 1938 in Carroll County to Thomas Jefferson Acy and Leola Mosley Acy. He was a graduate of Vaiden high School Class of 1957. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Cuban Crisis. He owned and operated Acy Sheet Metal and lived most of his life in the Black Hawk area of Carroll County. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers, sisters, and great grandson.

Mr. Acy is survived by his wife, Joyce Ellis Acy of Black Hawk, MS; three sons, Scott Acy and wife Karol of Black Hawk, MS, Gary Clay and wife Jackie of Carrollton, MS, and Mike Acy and wife Lisa of Black Hawk, MS; two sisters, Ila Nobles and Nila Steen, both of Black Hawk, MS; brother, Thomas Acy, Jr. of Black Hawk, MS; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Barry Acy, Raymond Acy, Taylor Nesbitt, Kenny Prince, Steve Flanagin, and Eric Scates.
