Martha Jean Childs, 71, of Greenwood, MS, died Monday, May 21, 2018 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. A private service will be held at a later date. Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born August 17, 1946 in Greenwood, MS, to Howard Eugene Childs and Carmen Burch Childs. She was a 1965 graduate of Greenwood High School and Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead. She retired from Balkamp, Inc. after 17 years of service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Rule, John Childs, and Wayne Childs.

She is survived by her sister, Cathy Underwood of Greenwood, MS, and Deborah Childs Wilt of Orlando, FL, and a number of nieces and nephews.
