Services for Margaret L. Blakely will be held Friday July 08, 2016 2:00 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.
Mrs. Blakely, age 80 died on Saturday July 02, 2016 at Vineyard Nursing Home of heart failure.
She was born on December 05, 1935 in Sunflower County, MS to Pervy and Winnie Dean Roberson and lived in the Greenwood area until 1956. She then moved to Bakersfield, CA but has lived in the Columbus area since 1992. Mrs. Blakely was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Delano, Ca. She loved her family and was excellent in making a house a home. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne H. Blakely and both of her parents.
She is survived by son, Michael Blakely of Cottage Grove, OR, son, Mark Blakely of Bakersfield, CA , a daughter, Jeanine Blakely of Columbus, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday July 08, 2016 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Brother Bob Blakely will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be: Wayne Karnes, Dale Blakely, Darrow Goss, Dustin Clardy, Drew Henson, Triston Jones. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park following the services.
Williams and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood is in charge of arraignments.
