Mae "Pat" Deaton, 82, of Minter City, MS, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025 in Grenada, MS. Services will be held 2:00PM Thursday, May 15, 2025 graveside in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville. Rev. Steve Bullion will officiate the services.

Pat was born April 21, 1943 to the late Ollie Elmer Watkins and Ruby Mildred Watkins. She retired from the US Postal Service after 32 years of service and was a member of Walton Chapel Church of God. She loved shopping at thrift stores, selling Avon, and gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Dexter "Deck" Deaton, Sr, and Charley Curtis; sons, Bobby Deaton, and Robert Deaton; and a grandson, Barry Deaton.

She is survived by her son, Dexter "Buddy" Deaton, Jr. (Brenda) of Minter City, MS; daughters, Charlotte Sewell of Holcomb, MS, and Ellen Maynor of Longville, LA; sisters, Barbara Cobb of Lucedale, MS, and Lani Swindoll (David) of Winona, MS; daughter-in-law, Carey Deaton of Carrollton, MS; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Cody Deaton, Conner Sewell, Lloyd Hodges, Hunter Jones, Josh Howard, and Billy Maynor.
