Luther Henry French , 69, of Greenwood, MS, died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at his residence. Visitation will be 1p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. A time of remembrance and service will be held at 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Larry Shackelford will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date at Elam Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. French was born January 11, 1949 in Money, MS, to John Henry French and Opal Neal French. He was a member of Elam Baptist Church in Coffeeville, MS. He loved music and for many years was in the band "Southern Breeze." Before retiring he served as a fire fighter for the Greenwood Fire Department and a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. French is survived by his wife, Dianne Lishman French of Greenwood, MS; daughters, Sandi Spencer of Greenwood, MS, Melissa Bloodworth and husband Mickey of McCarley, MS, and Michelle Cooper and husband Alan of Olive Branch, MS; six grandchildren, Laura Galey, Wade Spencer, Cody McLendon, John Dillon McLendon, Austin Cooper, Anna Cooper, and  six great-grandchildren.
