Louvenia Ann Hobson Powell , 76, of Dowagiac, Michigan, formerly of Greenwood, Mississippi, died Thursday, May 12, 2022 at her residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home with visitation 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Montgomery County. Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate.

She was born June 10, 1945 in Sidon, MS, to Johnnie B. Hobson and Pearlie Kelly Hobson. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her two sons, Jimmy Donald Powell, Jr.  of San Jose, California, and Mark Powell of Middleton, Tennessee; daughter, Leah Powell Miller of Dowagiac, MI; four brothers, Clayton Hobson, Earl Hobson, Jack Hobson, and Ray Hobson; three sisters, Sadie Campbell, Janie Morgan, and Betty Henderson; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
