Louise Busby , 90, of McCarley, MS, died Monday, July 25, 2022 at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona, MS. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McCarley Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Rev. David Bartlett will officiate.

Mrs. Busby was born March 5, 1932, in Shaw, MS, to John William Sapp and Ruthie May Garrett. She was a Baptist and enjoyed gardening. She helped with the South Side Baptist Church Food Pantry in Yazoo City and retired from Medart Lockers as a machinist. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Busby; daughters, Evelyn Shadd and Peggy Davis; sons, Jimmy Busby and Ricky Busby; grandsons, John Busby, Jr. and Jessie Busby; and her parents.

She is survived by her children, Paula Johnston of Benton, MS; James Busby of McCarley, MS, John Busby of Greenwood, MS, Mary Miller of Moorhead, MS, and Edward Busby and wife Ashley of McAdams, MS; sisters, Marie Stevens, Jurline Mahand, Ruby Ferguson, Dorothy Scott, Christine Moses, and Shirley Fox; brother, Richard Sapp; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Moe Busby, Armond Busby, Chay Shadd, Johnathon Rineheart, Jamie Williamson, Michael Armstrong, David Williamson, and Justin Todd.
