Mr. Tripp, age 91, died peacefully on Friday, December 23, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on September 11, 1931 in Vanceboro, NC, and resided in Greenwood the past couple of weeks. He was a retired electrician and a member of Jennifer Baptist Church in NC. He was an avid outdoorsman.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years; Lillie Roberts Tripp of Greenwood, MS; step-sons; Thomas Gibson of Greenwood, MS, Jimmy Gibson of Teoc, MS, and Christopher Harrell of NC; step-daughters, Elizabeth Lashley of NE, Teresa Gibson of NC, and Brenda Blackmond of NC; thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
