Linda Carol Busby, 73, of Coila, MS, died Thursday, August 6, 2026 at University Medical Center in Jackson. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, at Odd Fellows East Cemetery with visitation 10 a.m. until service time at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Rev. Kay Gunter will officiate.

Linda was born July 21, 1953, to Percy Odell Rosamond and Anna Elizabeth Adams Rosamond. She attended New Shiloh Baptist Church and was a attended of Greenwood High School. She enjoyed reading and working in her flowers. She was preceded in death by her son, James Thweatt; sisters, Donna Jean Clark, and Mary Katherine Rosamond; brother, Ray Rosamond; and her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell Busby of Coila, MS; two daughters, Cathrine Floyd and husband T.J. of Carroll County, MS, and Christy Hobson and husband Wayne of Carroll County, MS; son, Jeffrey Busby and wife Casse of Greenwood, MS; sisters, Faye Williams of Alabama and Janice Rosamond of South Carolina; and brothers, Jerry Rosamond of South Carolina, Jason Rosamond and wife Sharon of Cleveland, MS.

Pallbearers will be Alan Busby, Billy Dempsey, James Thweatt Jr., T.J. Floyd, Nathaniel Miller, Shane Clark, and Layne Grey.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
