Lilly Virginia Jackson , 93, of Greenwood, MS, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Virginia was born on February 23, 1929 to the late Lacy and Ruth Cobb. She enjoyed cooking, loved her flowers, and the outdoors. Virginia was an employee of Conmar Zipper Company in Greenwood for several years.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Rufus Jackson, as well as her brothers, Bennie, Tommy, Alvin, Billy Calvin, John, and Robert Cobb, and sister-in-law, Creasie Cobb.

Virginia is survived by her children, Larry Jackson of Greenwood, MS, and Linda Smith (Ronny) of Carrollton, MS; brother, David Cobb (Barbara) of Lucedale, MS; grandchildren, Ricky Jackson (Tonya) of Gluckstadt, and Randy Smith (Dana) of Winona; numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home on Saturday, followed by graveside services at 12:30 p.m. in Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County. Rev. Howard Beam will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Roy Jackson, Doyle Collett, Jake Paes, Luis Castro, Randall Cobb, Austin Isbell, and Nidal Yousif. Honorary pallbearer Ronny Morris.
