Obituary

Services for Lillian Maxine Walker Malier will be held Monday, August 05, 2019 12:00 PM at Walton Chapel Church of God in Minter City, MS.

Mrs. Malier, age 90, died on Friday, August 02, 2019 at Walter B. Crook Nursing Home in Ruleville.

She was born on July 04, 1929 in Poplar Cheek, MS to the late Landy C. and Lillie Kennedy Walker and lived in Ruleville, Mississippi. She was a member of Walton Chapel Church of God in Minter City. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Lonal  Malier, daughters, Patsy Nell Mitchell and Nancy Ann Malier, sisters, Jackie Faye Kyle, and Katy Morgan,and brothers, Lofton Walker and Bob Walker.

Maxine worked at Baxter's Healthcare for 45 years, was the church clerk for over 50 years, and was the Sunday school teacher and choir leader for Walton Chapel Church of God.

She is survived by sister, Lynda (Mac) Steed of Indianola, MS,   granddaughters, Kara (Andy) White of Holcomb, MS, and Angela  (Jackie) Sims Jr. of Greenwood, MS, grandson, Chris Mitchell of Grenada, MS, and 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 05, 2019 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Walton Chapel Church of God in Minter City. Rev. James Wells will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Stacy Walker, Jerry Randall, Chris Mitchell, Andy White, Jackie Sims Jr., and Jack Kyle. Burial will be in Lehrton Cemetery.
