Lester Lee Haley, 87, of Greenwood, Mississippi, died Friday, June 12, 2026, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County, MS. Visitation will be Thursday 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Shackelford will officiate.

Lester was born July 29, 1938, in Carroll County, to John Thomas Haley, Sr. and Eunice Goss Haley. He attended Lighthouse Ministries. He is preceded in death by his wife, Alice May Jenkins Haley, and brother, John Thomas Haley.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Haley of Greenwood, MS; daughters, Barbara Haley of Greenwood, MS, and Sandra Chitwood of Greenwood, MS; stepdaughters, Shirley Myers of Greenwood, MS, and Linda Smith of Fort Worth, TX; stepson, David Lewis of Greenwood, MS; sister, Charlene Wilhite of Schlater, MS; brother, Robert Haley of Carrollton, MS; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
