Kim Daves, 40, of Greenwood, MS, went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2017. Services will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Coila, MS, at 11:00 AM.
She was born in Greenwood to Alan and Rosiland Daves. She graduated from Carroll Academy and then went on to graduate from Holmes Community College in Grenada. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was active there until she fell ill. She also worked at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. She is survived by her parents, Alan and Rosiland Daves of Coila, MS; brother, Chris Daves and his wife Laura of Coila, MS; sister, Kelli Stoker and her husband Steven of Grenada, MS; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Officiating the services will be Rev. David Haggerty and Rev. Melvin Mordecai. Burial will follow the services Friday in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dawson Clark, Jerry Galey, Foley Daves, Paxton Hames, Ben Stoker, and Malone Dunn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Walker, Matthew Blackmon, and the staff and residents of Golden Age Nursing Home. Memorials may be made on her behalf to Gideon's International.
