Services for Kan L. Jee will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2019 11:00 AM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville, MS.

Mr. Jee, age 80, died on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

He was born on January 15, 1939 in Tai Hong Village, China to the late Jim Quong and Chung Shee Jee. He was educated at Hoy Kiew High School in China and came to the United States in 1959 to the town of Tutwiler, MS, to help his brother, Clarence Jee run a store there. He joined the Army in 1961 and received an honorable discharge in 1963 as a Spec #4. Kan married his wife Wai Jee (May) in Hong Kong in 1964. Kan took over the family business on Front Street in Ruleville,that was started by his father as the Jim Kee Co. in 1918. Kan retired in 2011.

Kan is preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Jee.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wai H. (May) Jee of Ruleville, MS; sons, Clement Jee of Ruleville, MS, and Michael (Ann) Jee of Seattle, WA;  grandson, Alex Jee of Seattle, WA, and granddaughter, Zoe Jee of Seattle, WA; and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville. Rev. Robert Haney will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be, Eckward Gong, Joel Jee, Tony Jones, Eddie Parish, John Rogers, and Kevin Rogers. Interment will follow in Lehrton Cemetery.
