Services for Judy Henson will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Leflore Baptist Church in Leflore, MS.
Mrs. Henson, age 72, died on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Riverview Nursing Home of heart failure.
She was born on November 20, 1944 in Greenwood, MS, to the late Irby Blakely Sr. and Blanche Jones and lived in Greenwood, MS, for her entire life. She attended Valley Public School. Mrs. Henson worked a number of years at various grocery stores in Greenwood, including Big Star where she worked in the office. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Pete Henson. She was dearly loved and will truly be missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby (Kathy) Henson of Greenwood, MS, Danny (Stacy) Henson of Greenwood, MS, and Freddie Henson of Greenwood, MS; a brother, Irby Blakely Jr. of Indianola, MS; sisters, Susie Bailey of Leflore, MS, Paulette Ellis of Black Hawk, MS, Linda Goss of Grenada, MS, and Nancy Clanton of Slidell, LA; five grandsons; one great granddaughter, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 1:00 PM till service time. Burial will follow in Leflore Cemetery. Rev Bernard Wiggins will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Dale Blakely, Dennis Motsinger, Everett Kuykendall, Henry Bailey, Daron Nichols and Mike Nichols. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Henson Jr., Kevin Henson, Blake Henson, Anthony Henson and Drew Henson .
