Joyce Idear Ellis Acy, 80, of Greenwood, MS, died Monday, April 8, 2024 at her residence. Graveside services will be Thursday, April 11. 2024 11:00 AM in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Rev. Larry Edwards officiating.

Mrs. Acy was born on April 10, 1943 to the late Jimmy Lee Ellis and Janie Rice Ellis. She retired from Baldwin piano and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Acy; and son, Paul Clay.

She is survived by her son, Gary Clay (Jackie) of Carrollton, MS; step sons, Scott Acy (Karol) of Grenada, MS, and Mike Acy (Lisa) of Blackhawk, MS; brothers, Charlie Ellis of Florence, MS, and Sonny Ellis of Florence, MS; sisters, Betty Vance of Raymond, MS, and Sherry Clark of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Brandon Clay (Rachelle) of Carrollton, MS, Emily Nesbitt (Taylor) of Carrollton, MS, Shelli Jaudon (Jeromey) of Sidon, MS, Brent Acy of Blackhawk, MS, Kassie Scates (Eric) of Greenwood, MS, and Lauren Easterling of TN; and ten great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Clay, Taylor Nesbitt, Jeff Coleman, Freddie Vance, Tim Vance, and Brent Acy.
