Graveside services for Josie Diane Sligh will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM in McNutt Cemetery in Schlater, MS.
Ms. Sligh, age 73, died on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Riverview Nursing Home in Greenwood, MS, of heart failure.
She was born on June 25, 1943 in Greenwood, MS, to the late Lonnie and Tallie Blount Sligh and lived in Greenwood for all of her life. She was a member of Lighthouse Ministries Church. She attended Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead, MS. She loved to sing. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lela Francis Reed; and brother, Bobby Sligh.
She is survived by two nephews, David Reed and his family of Greenwood, MS, and John Reed and his family of Olive Branch, MS.
Visitation will be held same day as services at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood from 12:30-1:30 PM. Rev. Larry Shackleford will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Steed Blount, Jimmy Blount, Mike Blount, David Reed, Johnny Reed, and David Kyle.
