Johnny Davis Barnett , 77, of Drew, MS, died Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville with visitation 1 p.m. until service time. Rev. Greg Chamblee will officiate. Burial will follow in Drew Cemetery.

Mr. Barnett was born August 3, 1944 to Edward Barnett and Elma Mathis Barnett. He was of the Baptist faith and a master carpenter. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jessie Littlenell Bowling Barnett of Drew, MS; three sons, Johnny Durel Barnett (Jodi) of Drew, MS, Tony Davis Barnett (Tina) of Guntown, MS, and Robin Barnett (Beverly) of Drew, MS; four grandchildren, Jonathon Barnett, Payton Barnett, Nathan Barnett, and Cori Barnett; and four great-grandchildren, Ciara Barnett, Tarrah Barnett, Hunter Barnett, and Benley Barnett.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Barnett, Payton Barnett, Jonathan Barnett, Hunter Barnett, James Guest, and Tracy Morris.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home Ruleville is in charge of arrangements.
